Client and backend. Every class listed here is shared: the same code is compiled into your app and into your server. The package's page in the client API lists all of it, including any classes that exist only in the app.
package java.io
Types
class BufferedInputStream | Reads from another stream through a buffer, so that many small reads become few large ones, and supports mark and reset. |
class BufferedOutputStream | Writes to another stream through a buffer, so that many small writes become few large ones. |
class BufferedReader | Reads text from another reader through a buffer, and reads it a line at a time. |
class BufferedWriter | Writes text to another writer through a buffer. |
class ByteArrayInputStream | A ByteArrayInputStream contains an internal buffer that contains bytes that may be read from the stream. |
class ByteArrayOutputStream | This class implements an output stream in which the data is written into a byte array. |
interface Closeable | A source or destination of data that holds something until it is closed: every stream, reader and writer. |
interface DataInput | The DataInput interface provides for reading bytes from a binary stream and reconstructing from them data in any of the Java primitive types. |
class DataInputStream | A data input stream lets an application read primitive Java data types from an underlying input stream in a machine-independent way. |
interface DataOutput | The DataOutput interface provides for converting data from any of the Java primitive types to a series of bytes and writing these bytes to a binary stream. |
class DataOutputStream | A data output stream lets an application write primitive Java data types to an output stream in a portable way. |
class EOFException | Signals that an end of file or end of stream has been reached unexpectedly during input. |
class FileNotFoundException | Signals that an attempt to open the file denoted by a specified pathname has failed. |
class FilterInputStream
class FilterOutputStream
interface Flushable | Indicates that an output object can be flushed. |
class IOException | Signals that an I/O exception of some sort has occurred. |
class InputStream | This abstract class is the superclass of all classes representing an input stream of bytes. |
class InputStreamReader | An InputStreamReader is a bridge from byte streams to character streams: It reads bytes and translates them into characters. |
class InterruptedIOException | Signals that an I/O operation has been interrupted. |
class OutputStream | This abstract class is the superclass of all classes representing an output stream of bytes. |
class OutputStreamWriter | An OutputStreamWriter is a bridge from character streams to byte streams: Characters written to it are translated into bytes. |
class PrintStream | A PrintStream adds functionality to another output stream, namely the ability to print representations of various data values conveniently. |
class PrintWriter | Prints formatted text to a writer or a stream. |
class Reader | Abstract class for reading character streams. |
interface Serializable | Here to simplify porting, won’t actually work… |
class StringReader | A specialized Reader that reads characters from a String in a sequential manner. |
class StringWriter | |
class UTFDataFormatException | Signals that a malformed UTF-8 string has been read in a data input stream or by any class that implements the data input interface. |
class UncheckedIOException | java.io.UncheckedIOException: an IOException carried through code that cannot declare it, as a lambda or a constructor that loads a resource does. |
class UnsupportedEncodingException | The Character Encoding is not supported. |
class Writer | Abstract class for writing to character streams. |
